Abstract

At present, the importance of neurosciences for education is highlighted, especially in the teaching-learning processes of literacy. The present work arose from the problem: can neurosciences contribute to the learning of literacy in preschool children? Characterized as a bibliographic research, texts related to neuroscience, literacy and learning were used. The scientific articles were also used by researchers who were already interested in the subject in search of good quality in literacy. The conclusions point to the need for education professionals to delve into the processes involved in the acquisition of scientifically based literacy so that learning is significant in the academic life of students.
