Abstract

The current scientific article presented is entitled: Influence of Informality on the Liquidity of Formal Businesses in a Market in Nuevo Chimbote, 2024. The objective is to "Establish the influence of informality on the liquidity of formal service businesses in a market in the Nuevo Chimbote district in 2024."

This research report is developed using a quantitative methodology, based on a non-experimental, cross-sectional causal correlational design. The study population consisted of 10 companies, and the main results were that informality does not significantly affect the liquidity of formal businesses. The study was conducted to substantiate and expand existing knowledge, without seeking immediate practical application. The research sample was non-probabilistic and used direct convenience sampling. Only 10 formal merchants with RUCs (Tax Identification Numbers) were considered, as they were easily accessible to the researcher. The research tool used to evaluate the independent variable of informality was the interview technique, and the instrument used was the interview guide to assess informality. General conclusion: although informality exists and tends to influence formal businesses, and it would be believed that these informal businesses have an advantage over formal ones, formality remains in place thanks to the security it provides to customers. Customers are willing to pay a little more. After obtaining the results, it can be seen that informality has very little influence on the liquidity of formal service businesses.
