Abstract

This essay had the objective of exploring the challenges and opportunities presented by the incorporation of entrepreneurial skills in nursing education at an international level. The historical evolution of entrepreneurial training in nursing, the cultural and educational challenges in its teaching, the practices and models of success in its implementation were developed. The documentary research carried out allowed us to visualize how the development of entrepreneurial skills can transcend the traditional hospital setting, integrating skills that promote health equity and address health disparities, in addition to training to understand and act on the social determinants of health. This multidimensional approach reflects a transformation in the perception of nursing as a profession that goes beyond clinical care, assuming leadership and management roles. International experiences highlight that an entrepreneurial culture in nursing fosters an innovative and creative mindset. By incorporating successful models and effective practices from different cultural and economic contexts, entrepreneurial training can be adapted to local needs, in theoretical-practical strategies. The prospective vision of the trial highlights the need for comprehensive training that responds to current challenges and prepares health professionals to face future changes in the global health system.
