Abstract

The main role of the teacher is to generate knowledge and satisfy the quality of education of students, considering the challenges of the global world that implies changes and development of competencies as central elements in the teaching performance; in the present context of pandemic, the job satisfaction of the teacher for a productive and healthy work is especially relevant. The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of teaching performance on the job satisfaction of teachers at the educational institution No. 80822-Santa María de La Esperanza, province of Trujillo, Peru, in times of pandemic. There was a population of 101 teachers and a sample of 50 teachers chosen through non-probabilistic sampling: Lucía Subaldo's teaching performance and Amaya and Suárez's job satisfaction scale-version for teachers (ESL-VP). The relationship and influence of teacher performance on teacher job satisfaction was r= 0.475**, and r2=16.4%; concluding the effect of the first general variable on the dependent variable of the study. The application of a teaching performance program and its elements to achieve identification and job satisfaction is recommended.
